LifeGroup Halloween Party

Saturday night was our LifeGroup's Halloween party. It was our first time to go to LifeGroup since Brody was born and I was desperately needing "friend" time, and I think Dave was, too! I was so GLAD to be able to get out and spend time with Dave AND with all our friends! =) Since it was for our church group we just did a fun little party that we could all get together and enjoy each other's company--no scary themes, etc. It's so nice to have friends that think the way you do! =) Alisa and Neil hosted the party at their house and had delicious food and planned a couple contests. They did a GREAT job! Thanks, guys, for hosting such a fun party!

Our Little Tiger!

The Costume Contest
Tree Huggers: Diana & Justin (2nd Place)
Black-Eyed Peas: Jamie & Chad
Barney Fife and Daphnie, the fun girl from Mount Pilot: Alisa & Neil
Penguins: Amy & A.J.
the Moron (he termed himself this after putting on a sticker that says "Obama '08) & his biker chic: Amy & Kris
the Medinas (themselves): Arelis & Luis
PC & Mac: Stephanie & Ben
The Blue Jeans (Genes): Kara & Shelby (1st Place)
New Parents & their little tiger
Pumpkin Carving Contest
Dave carved one side of our pumpkin and I carved the other (see picture below), then he and Ben hosted the contest to see whose pumpkins won. Ben is doing the "cheer meter" with his arm...so clever! Amy & Kris's pumpkin won.

The back side had the score of the recent LSU/UGA football game because there are several LSU fans in our class...we wanted to make sure they knew Brody was NOT an LSU tiger! (We did it because it was a cute newborn costume and Dave loves tigers. He would love to one day own a white tiger....it will never happen, but he can dream!)
Brody was a huge hit with everyone at the party (of course.... This was also the first time many of them had been able to meet him). I don't think we held him the whole party except during pictures and at the end when he was screaming because he wouldn't take his bottle. Here is his "costume change" photo! =)

I love his tiger costume. It is very cute. Looks like he did not mind being in it too.
