March 15th was Baby Dedication Day at our church. There are two Sundays a year that parents are invited by the pastor to have their children (aged 2 and younger) to be dedicated to God. Bro. Mark challenges the parents to
"bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4b). We, as parents, stand before the congregation to make our commitment. This day was very important to Dave and I because we want to take the challenge that God has placed before us to raise Brody in a Godly home where the Bible is taught and lived out daily. Our biggest prayer is that he would come to know Jesus as his personal Savior at a young age and be someone God uses in a great way to bring many people to Him. In the world we live in, this can be a daunting task. But we know with God's guidance and help (and MANY continued prayers for Brody), Brody will grow up to be a Godly man who strives to trust God in every area of his life and seek Him in the decisions he makes. We want others to see Jesus through Brody! What a blessing as a parent that would be! =)

Brody did SO WELL in front of that HUGE congregation! He is not used to being in front of that many people.

Dave's parents just happened to be here that weekend, which was a great surprise! We had known for a couple months when Dedication Day was, but when Mary and Jerry decided to come, we had forgotten it was that weekend! I was glad someone from our family could be there for Brody's special day. They are our witnesses and our accountability!! =)
