Yesterday, Mom and Nori both had to go back home in time for work/school today. Sad to see them leave, but we had fun with them here!
Early in the morning, Brody played with Nori and Mom while Dave and I got ready. It's so nice having someone here to play with Brody every once in a while so I can get ready without a little boy attached to my leg or holding his arms up while looking at me with the puppy dog eyes and whine......LOL! =)

Nori is a photographer at heart like me, so it was VERY awesome that she was willing to take pics of all of us before Mom left!
This is what goes on behind the scenes to get Brody to even LOOK at the camera, much less attempt to get him to smile sometimes! He's SO NOT interested in the camera...very disappointing for his photographer mom in instances such as these! =) Even though I get to see his ADORABLE and heart warming smile ALL the time, I want to share it with all of you, too! =)

It's so cool because my sister actually met Nori soon after she moved to Japan several years ago. Nori helped acquaint Liz with the culture and language the first couple years (and still is at times...). Liz introduced me to Nori and her sister, Shoko, when we traveled to Japan a couple summers ago. We all hit it off instantly, as our families are VERY SIMILAR (it's actually scary how similar they are!!) and we have similar personalities. Amazing how God placed Nori, Shoko, and their mom in Japan for Liz, and me and my mom in the United States for Shoko and Nori while they attend school here! I love how God works! Nori and Shoko came last year to our Thanksgiving extravaganza when Liz was visiting us, and this year Nori got to come back and spend time with us even though Liz wasn't here (we really missed seeing Shoko again!). Liz actually visits Nori and Shoko's mom while they are here in the States. Crazy, huh?? We all get along so well, and I am thankful for their friendship! Now, if only I could learn Japanese so I could understand Liz, Shoko, and Nori when they are having conversations in front of me......hahaha!
Mom and I were trying to make sure all the pictures turned out as we had anticipated! =) I love how Brody is the only one looking at the camera in this one, and he really didn't need to! Isn't that always how it is with kids?? =)

As I mentioned, Nori likes to take pictures, so she got a couple of us with Brody. He loves his book about Jesus being born, so this was a great idea!

For those of you not familiar with the Little People nativity, here is what it looks like. If anyone can tell me why there would be a pig or a dog at the stable where Jesus was born, I would greatly appreciate it! Still think it's odd!
One or two "quick" photos outside before our photographer had to hit the road! So sad she had to leave, but we really enjoyed her company the short time it lasted. Nori, PLEASE COME AGAIN!!!!! You are welcome ANYTIME! (and you, too, SHOKO!!) =) Oh, and thanks for all the wonderful pictures and memories!

When it comes to transporting leaves in the front of your car,
FIRST, open the hood and place handfuls of leaves inside.
SECOND, when filled to desired level, close hood.
THIRD, smile and show how proud you are of all your hard work!
Dave's wheels are so big that Brody is barely as tall as they are! CRAZY!
Watching Daddy be sweet to Mommy by washing her car later that day! I told you Brody has a great role model!
One last spin around the yard before coming back inside. Brody's expression is priceless! You think he enjoyed it?? =)
