For New Year's this year, we were actually able to go to a party with Brody. Last year, with a 3 month old we weren't able to go out and do much with him so we just stayed home. With him being a little more flexible this year, we decided to try going to Jana's, even if it was just for a couple hours.
He fell asleep on the way there, which made me a little nervous since I wasn't sure how his mood would be when we arrived.

Surprisingly, Brody was in a pretty decent mood considering his VERY short cat nap!
Time for some fireworks...in the RAIN! Kailyn is not a huge fan of the loud noises from the fireworks, so she has learned to compensate by putting her hands over her ears. =)
Lexie is also not a fan, so she hung out inside.
Brody watched some flares, and was ok with that, but as soon as the fireworks started popping, he was D-O-N-E!!
He lost it! He cried and cried and cried...poor thing.

Lexie and Brody really enjoyed playing together most of the night! She is about 9 1/2 months older than he is, so they were closer in age than the other kids there. It worked out nicely!

This party was actually supposed to be a surprise party for Jensen's birthday, but he found out earlier in the day what was going on, so it wasn't a surprise anymore. =) However, we still celebrated!
Brody wanted that candle!!! (We stopped him in time before he grabbed it! LOL!)
Time for his "bedtime" bottle, even though it was well past 11 by this point! He was sure a trooper!!! Dave and I were very surprised!
